You might not know that I love networking events, and I always love to stand out. One way that I do this is by having my own free NFC business card.

I love to tap my phone or NFC card against someone else’s phone and have all of my information sent to their phone. Plus, it’s a great conversation starter!

Every time I go to a project management network event, I have a class, or meet a new project manager, I pop out my NFC business card, and it’s a fantastic conversation starter since I’m in the tech industry of projects.

If you’re unfamiliar with NFC, it stands for Near Field Communication. It’s a technology that allows two devices to exchange data wirelessly when they are close. NFC, in most industries, aids contactless payment systems, but it works for so many other purposes like sharing information or files. Another name they are called is electronic business card

According to statistics, the use of NFC is increasing a lot year by year.

Making your own NFC digital business cards is straightforward and requires no special equipment. You only need an NFC-enabled device, such as an Android phone, and a blank NFC tag. You can buy NFC tags online or at some electronics stores.

I currently use one NFC tag from Popl. If you want something that works perfectly, has a lot of options, and will make you stand out, I recommend one of the reviewed NFC Digital business cards or my list of the best digital business cards overall.

With these services, you can have a great NFC business card for free by paying 11 dollars or less; after I tested them, those are the best NFC business card vendors.

NFC Enabled Phone

First of all, be sure you have an NFC-able phone. If not, you will not be able to read or write NFC tags.

Many Android phones come with NFC already built in, such as the Google Pixel 2 and Samsung Galaxy S9, and these are inexpensive options.

If you’re unsure if your phone has NFC, do a quick Google search of your phone model and “NFC.” there are many cheap options.

Another option could be to use a QR generator online, but you should have an NFC-able device for real, which is the minimum.
