You might not know that I love networking events, and I always love to stand out. One way that I do this is by having my own free NFC business card.

I love to tap my phone or NFC card against someone else’s phone and have all of my information sent to their phone. Plus, it’s a great conversation starter!

Every time I go to a project management network event, I have a class, or meet a new project manager, I pop out my NFC business card, and it’s a fantastic conversation starter since I’m in the tech industry of projects.

If you’re unfamiliar with NFC, it stands for Near Field Communication. It’s a technology that allows two devices to exchange data wirelessly when they are close. NFC, in most industries, aids contactless payment systems, but it works for so many other purposes like sharing information or files. Another name they are called is electronic business card

According to statistics, the use of NFC is increasing a lot year by year.

Making your own NFC digital business cards is straightforward and requires no special equipment. You only need an NFC-enabled device, such as an Android phone, and a blank NFC tag. You can buy NFC tags online or at some electronics stores.

I currently use one NFC tag from Popl. If you want something that works perfectly, has a lot of options, and will make you stand out, I recommend one of the reviewed NFC Digital business cards or my list of the best digital business cards overall.

With these services, you can have a great NFC business card for free by paying 11 dollars or less; after I tested them, those are the best NFC business card vendors.

However, if you are a bit techy and curious like me, you can go and make your own almost free NFC business card, even below 1 dollar a pop, by following these simple steps. You can find a free business card maker online or can make it yourself from a scratch.

NFC Enabled Phone

First of all, be sure you have an NFC-able phone. If not, you will not be able to read or write NFC tags.

Many Android phones come with NFC already built in, such as the Google Pixel 2 and Samsung Galaxy S9, and these are inexpensive options.

If you’re unsure if your phone has NFC, do a quick Google search of your phone model and “NFC.” there are many cheap options.

Another option could be to use a QR generator online, but you should have an NFC-able device for real, which is the minimum.

  • What to do if your NFC Card is hacked?

If you are unfortunate enough to have your e business card hacked, you should take a few steps to minimize the damage.

First, change the password to your account and make sure to choose a robust and unique password that is difficult to guess. Next, contact all your contacts and let them know your information has been compromised.

Finally, review your security settings and ensure you have the highest level of protection possible. By taking these steps, you can help to protect yourself and your business in the event of a hack.

    Are NFC Business Cards Safe?

NFC business cards are a great way to share your contact information with others quickly and easily. However, you may be wondering if they are safe to use.

NFC business cards are equipped with a small chip that contains your contact information. When you tap the card against an NFC-enabled device, the device will read the chip and display your data.

NFC business cards are safe because the chips do not store personal or financial information.
Only your contact information is stored on the chip, so there is no risk of identity theft or fraud. NFC business cards are a convenient and safe way to share your contact information with others.

Can NFC Business Cards be Hacked?

Any time you use technology to store sensitive information, there is always the risk that it could be hacked.

This is especially true for NFC business cards, which contain a chip that can hold a large amount of data. While the chances of your NFC business card being hacked are relatively low, it is still important to be aware of the risks.

There are a few ways that hackers could access the data on your card. Some methods are skimming, cloning, or using malicious software to infect the card and access the data.

While NFC business cards are generally safe, it is important to take precautions to protect your information.

You should only store your custom business card in a secure location and never loan it to anyone else. Keep an eye on your card when using it in public, as this is when it is most vulnerable to being hacked.

How do I protect my contactless card?

If you’re carrying it in your wallet or purse, consider investing in an RFID-blocking sleeve or case. This will help to prevent thieves from using a skimming device to read and clone your card information.

Second, be sure to check your bank statements regularly for any suspicious activity.
